The Journey
1880s
The Arrival
During the height of French Indochina, a generation of botanists and pharmacists made the voyage east — driven by curiosity and the promise of a pharmacopoeia unlike any in Europe. The tropical forests of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos held thousands of plant species unknown to Western science.
1900–1950
The Research
Over the following decades, researchers catalogued hundreds of medicinal plants. Piper betle, Curcuma longa, Houttuynia cordata, Eclipta prostrata — plants that local communities had used for generations were now being studied, pressed, and documented in laboratories in Hanoi and Saigon.
2018–2023
The Rediscovery
Decades later, the founder of Ysoria Labs began a personal journey — visiting the same highland regions, speaking with local farmers and herbalists, and researching the same plants that had captivated the French botanists before them. It was not discovery. It was recognition.
2024
The Beginning
Ysoria Labs Vietnam launches its first collection — five botanical masks, each pairing an Indochinese herb with a clinically proven modern active. From the highlands of Vietnam to laboratories in Ho Chi Minh City to doorsteps in Paris, Toronto, and Los Angeles.
